EPJ/Dock Worker — An Electric Pallet Jack/Dock Worker is responsible for the safe operating and managing of industrial equipment to load, unload and move product and packaging, from storage areas, machines, and loading docks. The prime function of the role is to support the supply chain by locating and moving stock of product, packaging materials, and pallets from storage areas to the production floor.
Summary
A high-volume distribution center is seeking a hardworking, dependable EPJ/Dock Worker. You will use an Electric Pallet Jack to move items to the staging area and make sure they are packaged correctly before loading them onto delivery trucks. You must also accurately log every shipment into our inventory system. Although there are no educational requirements for this role, you must have basic math and reading skills. Our ideal applicant has warehouse/dock experience and must be EPJ-certified. All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.
The EPJ/Dock Worker will:
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Move items to the staging area using an electric pallet jack
- Ensure items are packaged safely before shipping
- Input shipping information into the computer system
- Log any shortages or damages, Use an RF Scanner
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
The EPJ/Dock Worker should have:
- A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Experience in a warehouse or shipping environment
